SOLARPRO Geyser Heating
Our diagram below shows how the sun's energy can be harnessed to heat the water in a geyser. This saves electricity and leads to a significant reduction in energy costs.
- Cold water enters the geyser and descends into the panel.
- Water heated by the sun rises by convection to the top, in the collecting tank and the solar panel.
- Water then rises in the panel and feeds into the geyser.
- Usually, solar geysers have an element to boost the temperature, once or twice a day.
- A timer can be used to switch on the element at specific times, and a solar pump may be added to regulate the water flow, thereby increasing efficiency.
